cleanFARMS Forum

CleanFARMS is a not-for-profit industry stewardship organization committed to environmental responsibility through the proper management of agricultural waste. Our programs manage agricultural plastic and other inorganic waste from farms across Canada and have earned a reputation of excellence around the world.shops (1 day), technical sessions (2 days), field trips (1 day), trade show, banquet and student social events. CleanFARMS will be holding its inaugural cleanFARMS Forum webinar on May 20th at 3PM EDT.  This hour long session will provide an overview of how our programs operate in various jurisdictions and our priorities for 2015.  Please join us to share your thoughts on how we can continue to deliver high quality stewardship programming to Canadian farmers.

Saskatchewan Stockgrowers AGM and Conference
June 7-9, 2015
Swift Current, SK

This event will take place at the Stockade Building, Kinetic Park in Swift Current. The theme is Connecting with Consumers. Speakers' topics will include changing consumer trends; McDonald's Sustainable Verified Beef program; BIXS update; Canadian cattle market and industry updates and more. The AGM will be held on June 9.

SFC Forages in the Field Workshop
June 11, 16 and 24, 2015
Various locations, SK

This specialized course is designed specifically for reclamation and environmental assessment practitioners. The Forages in the Field Workshops will take place on June 11 in the Kisbey/Arcola area, June 16 in Swift Current area and June 24 near Brock/Kindersley. Space is limited to 30 participants per location so register early!

Canadian Land Reclamation Association Conference
June 15-18, 2015

The CLRA and and MSSS (Manitoba Soil Science Society) Joint Conference titled Land Reclamation & Soil Science: Solutions for a Sustainable Future will take place June 15 - 18, 2015 at the Radisson Winnipeg Downtown, Winnipeg, MB. The conference will include short courses/workshops (1 day), technical sessions (2 days), field trips (1 day), trade show, banquet and student social events.

Native Prairie Appreciation Week (NPAW) SRM Tour
June 18 and 19, 2015
Prince Albert and Prince Albert National Park, SK

Save the date for this meeting and tour held in conjunction with Saskatchewan's 17th Annual Native Prairie Appreciation Week (June 15-21).  This event will include a Thursday evening social, Friday tour and plant ID contest. Watch for more details coming soon. Sponsored by Saskatchewan's Prairie Conservation Action Plan (PCAP), Society for Range Management and the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture.

SFC AGM and WBDC Field Day

The SFC AGM and field tour will be held in conjunction with the WBDC field day this year on June 23, 2015. The SFC and WBDC have worked together to bring speaker Jim Gerrish to this year's field day.  The day will also include updates from WBDC research and chance to learn more about this research in the field. The SFC AGM and a steak supper will follow the tour.

Canada-Saskatchewan Irrigation Diversification Centre Field Day

Outlook, SK

This annual all-day event is organized by the five partners of Canada-Saskatchewan Irrigation Diversification Centre: Saskatchewan Irrigation Projects Association, Agriculture and Agri-Foods Canada, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture, and Irrigation Crop Diversification Corporation. There will be tours of the facilities and current projects undertaken at the CSIDC facility.

2015 Saskatchewan Pasture Tour
